We found that he was in the middle of replacing the roof when this particular storm hit and the rain had gotten into his utility room. We checked the floor and the walls and they are wet. We had to remove the vinyl flooring in order to dry out the sub-floor. He needed this dried out over the weekend because he had people moving into this home due to them starting work for his company Monday. We placed enough air movers and a medium size dehumidifier within the room and closed the door. We achieved his goal and had it dried out with in a couple of days.

Water Loss Containments

The water loss occurred in Odessa Texas. The water loss was the hot water tank and it affected several rooms. When rising water enters the home there is no room for error. These vents are to help get air under the home and help keep it dried out and allow fresh air under. She was so happy that once we had completed the smell was gone.

Mold Mitigation

Mold mitigation can be a tricky thing. You can see it on the outside of a wall, but what could be behind the wall? If you see it on the outside of the wall there is a good chance that is has started growing on the backside of the wall also affecting the insulation as well. Mold

Here are a few facts about mold:

Mold is present almost everywhere, indoors and outdoors.

Mold spores are microscopic and float along in the air and may enter your home through windows, doors, or AC/heating systems or even hitch a ride indoors on your clothing or a pet.
Mold spores thrive on moisture. Mold spores can quickly grow into colonies when exposed to water. These colonies may produce allergens and irritants.
Before mold remediation can begin, any sources of water or moisture must be addressed. Otherwise, the mold may return.
Mold often produces a strong, musty odor and can lead you to possible mold problem areas.
Even higher-than-normal indoor humidity can support mold growth. Keep indoor humidity below 45 percent.
